Sheikh Siraj Rahman College Launches Landmark Arabic & Islamic Studies Curriculum Approved by TVET CDACC

Mombasa, Kenya – May 16, 2026 – Sheikh Siraj Rahman College of Islamic Studies is making history today as it officially launches its new Arabic Language & Islamic Studies Curriculum for Levels 3–6, now formally approved by the TVET CDACC Council.

Held under the theme “Academic Pathway, Certification & Recognition for Islamic Studies & Arabic Language,” the event is drawing over 100 scholars, educators, government representatives, and community leaders to a packed conference hall in Mombasa. Attendees in traditional Islamic attire are actively engaging with keynote speeches, live presentations, and Q&A sessions, voicing unanimous support for the standardized curriculum.

Organizers are presenting certificates of recognition and commemorative plaques to key stakeholders, while multiple cake-cutting ceremonies are celebrating the milestone. Professional branding, live streaming displays, and group photos in front of the official event banner underscore the significance of the occasion.

With TVET CDACC approval, the curriculum is now positioning Islamic and Arabic language education within Kenya’s national technical and vocational framework—creating clear academic and career pathways for madrasa graduates and Islamic studies teachers alike.

As the celebration continues, the college is already moving toward the next steps: trainer orientation, curriculum implementation, and student enrollment under the new accredited structure.
